Why Renderings?

When it comes to planning marketing strategies for your next project, one component of that may be to create renderings for your sales office as well as for your marketing materials online, printed or both.

These days, there is an additional focus on being mindful of the environment so there has been less of a “call” for printed matter or “take away” collateral from sales offices and meetings and more of a focus on digital marketing material.  However, not everyone is satisfied or comfortable with just the digital versions of marketing materials.

I am a “fan” of brochures, especially ones that can be customized for each client by just having a small “shell” brochure, that you can place only those documents or prints in that relate directly to the interests demonstrated after the tour of models, or discussion with representatives of the project.  This way, we are not handing out prints that don’t relate to what the potential buyer was interested in and therefore have a greater likelihood of being discarded.

Also, while we live in an age where many more people are “tech” savvy, we still have a group of people that are more interested or comfortable having something physically in their hands to look over, draw on, etc. This is a very important need to address for people making a decision that affects many years of their life or the rest of their lives and may be the biggest investment decision they will ever make.

So what do we need to create interiors for your next project?

Exterior renderings can be very useful for assisting with being able to visualize your space.  How great it would be if we could close our eyes, after visually “taking in a space”, sort of like taking a picture with a camera and then be able to close our eyes again and see the different aspects we remember in our “mind’s eye”.

Well, it cannot be done like that for most of us and that is what makes it is very useful to be able to build a space virtually, and “prop” it, with landscaping and materials or alternated color schemes without making any of the physical and costly mistakes that come with trying over and over again, to get that look just right by possibly painting the wrong color or adding materials like stone or brick that turn out exactly the opposite of what we intended, or what our clients or potential homebuyers might want.

That is where renderings can be invaluable.  Get it just right virtually before making or committing to all the expenses related to that.  In order to achieve this, we are going to need some materials first.

In addition to needing the architectural drawings, we are going to need the exterior color scheme information, including roof details, and any other details we need to assist with color and material direction.  If you have specific landscape direction, such as a landscape plan or direction that relates to the part of the country the home or project id going to be built in, that is also necessary.

The process for delivery of the images would entail modeling the exteriors and then establishing what “shots” would be best to use for marketing purposes.  If they are for your personal use, we will still establish the best “views”, before sending the draft images for approval and/or “red lining”, before then, making any changes to the images.  After this, the revised draft can be provided for review, application of finishes and lighting can be adjusted, before sending images for review again and hopefully obtaining final approval. While this is a lot of information and there might seem to be a lot of “steps” here, it can save a lot of time and money in the end.

If we can help with your next project, we look forward to working with you and providing the best renderings available to you in the industry!
